April 5 in San Antonio history...

1920
Clear, cold and blustery.  Easter was a day for furs and overcoats instead of the silver frocks and summer bonnets which are traditional.

1950
The first of seven panels of the Trinity University administration building on the new campus site was nearing completion today.

1955
The city reorganizes under a council-manager form of government and the Good Government League wins control of City Hall.
