April 11 in San Antonio history...

1908
The proposition of establishing a post office station near I. & G.N. passenger depot in order to relieve the congestion of business in the post office here in under consideration by postal authorities.

1957
The "Brackenridge Eagle" miniature train begins operation in Brackenridge Park.  This is a "soft opening."  35,000 passengers will ride the train before the grand opening is held on June 14.

1968
The San Antonio Conservation Society has agreed to contribute up to $15,000 toward making up the San Antonio Fiesta Commission's deficit.  About $50,000 has been lost to the commission due to elimination of the carnival.
