December 2 in San Antonio history...

San Antonio Policeman A. P. Martin arrested a motorist for exceeding the 8 mile-an-hour speed limit for autos in Alamo Plaza.

Conflict in state laws caused San Antonio to have two sheriffs, Albert West, Jr. and Albert Hausser, until Jan. 1.

The Victoria Lounge at 136 W. Durango was destroyed at about 8 a.m. when one of three Southern Pacific boxcars rolled down a grade and crashed into the building. No one was in the lounge at the time of the accident.
