December 12 in San Antonio history...

1900
A recital was held at San Antonio Female College, West End. Admission was 25 cents and proceeds were to go to the gymnasium fund.

1940
Coincident with the scheduling of a $550,000 bond election, the Civil Aeronautics Autority announced it would allocate $100,000 for the new municipal airport.

1960
Some independent gas stations dropped the price of regular gasoline to 19.9 cents per gallon as San Antonio's pre-holiday price war escalated. Major company stations, however, continued to charge normal rates.
