September 7 in San Antonio history...

1897
One beer saloon on E. Commerce has of late made a daily display of empty beer kegs as an illustration of its volume of trade. A second saloon is now doing likewise.

1921
San Antonio paid tribute to Capt. Ira C. Ogden, who was killed in action at St. Etienne, France, Oct. 10, 1918.

1937
Launching a new drive to curb juvenile crime in San Antonio, police today had taken into custody 13 youths ranging in age from 13 to 20 years on a variety of charges.
