1901
A post office has been established at Saspamco, Wilson County, with George J. Ball as postmaster.

1941
Bexar County today had two aircraft warning observers after six highway patrolmen spent a day interviewing several hundred people in an effort to find volunteers.

1961
San Antonio was braced for the impact of heavy rains, flooding and high winds spawned by movement of Hurricane Carla onto Texas' central coastline.
